This module provides people with a wider understanding of emotional health and wellbeing, including issues in a local and national frame. It also aims to give attendees an understanding of encouraging action and developing interventions for people who are struggling with their emotional health and wellbeing.
Aims to provide attendees with a wider understanding of healthy weight research including technical skills and techniques to support and maintain weight change using motivational and cognitive behaviour techniques and an awareness of when to use them.

The overall aim of MECC is to help improve the health and wellbeing amongst service users, staff and the general public across the Borough, by promoting a positive health message to the public to encourage health behaviour change.

This training gives delegates the opportunity to understand smoking issues across South Tyneside and nationally. This training also allows delegates to practice the principles of Very Brief Advice and its effectiveness at supporting people to stop smoking.

The NHS Stop Smoking Service is a successful initiative to support people in quitting smoking. All Smoking Cessation Advisors must attend annual refresher training to keep up to date with the latest Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) developments and behaviour change techniques.
A training program designed for workers in Stockton Borough who are identified as part of the multi-agency training schedule.
This module provides attendees with a better of understanding of what self-care is and how to promote better health and wellbeing. It covers aspects of self-management in the area, what self-care techniques can be used and promotes assets in the local area to improve health and wellbeing. The course is open to health professionals and members of the public, bringing together patients and professionals in the same group to share understanding and promote learning.
