A Better U - Scene Setting

Aims

This module provides attendees with a better of understanding of what self-care is and how to promote better health and wellbeing. It covers aspects of self-management in the area, what self-care techniques can be used and promotes assets in the local area to improve health and wellbeing. The course is open to health professionals and members of the public, bringing together patients and professionals in the same group to share understanding and promote learning.

  • Provide an understanding of self-care in South Tyneside
  • To increase awareness of community assets which can improve health and wellbeing
  • To understand more about how we can engage in self-care
  • To develop the skills to feel confident in self-care
